In our relentless pursuit of excellence, ExcellGene invites a passionate scientist to join our Cell Line Development team to fill the following pivotal role:

Senior-Laboratory Technician or Junior Research Associate - Analytics (6 months)

Senior-Laboratory Technician Analytics (80%– 100%)

or

Junior Research Associate Analytics (80%– 100%)

This is a 6 month fixed-term contract (maternity cover) from June 2025 to January 2026.This role is ideal for a candidate with a background in analytical sciences who is eager to contribute to method development and sample analysis in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical environment.

Senior-Laboratory Technician Analytics

 Junior Research Associate Analytics

  • Prepare materials (buffers, solutions, etc.) necessary for routine laboratory activities.
  • Perform sample preparation and analytical testing focusing on ELISA, d/qPCR, Bio-layer Interferometry, LAL and sterility following established experimental procedures, including raw data collection, preliminary analysis, and internal reporting.
  • Support the development, optimization, and qualification of analytical methods.
  • Operate, maintain, and perform routine calibrations of analytical instruments.
  • Conduct periodic verification and calibration of small laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality, cleanliness, and organization within the laboratory environment.
  • Execute established experimental procedures focusing on ELISA, d/qPCR, Bio-layer Interferometry, LAL and sterility, including raw data collection, analysis using dedicated informatic and statistical tools, and internal reporting.
  • Report to the Group Leader and during internal meetings.
  • Operate and conduct routine maintenance of analytical instruments, including troubleshooting routine analytical methods.
  • Execute the development, optimization, and qualification of analytical methods under the direct supervision of the Group Leader.
  • Draft protocols and SOPs

 

Profile & Qualifications

Desired Skills & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and analytical chemistry.
  • Technical understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnology processes.
  • Experience with a variety of analytical methods (ELISA, d/qPCR and Bio-layer Interferometry, … )
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for routine analytical methods.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring compliance with quality guidelines.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and analytical instrument operation/troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate in both French and English.

Soft skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High level of rigor, discipline, and precision.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education & Experience

Senior Laboratory Technician Analytics

 Junior Research Associate Analytics
  • CFC or BSc degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a laboratory setting within biotechnology and/or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to execute tasks autonomously.
  • Ability to identify deviations, apply corrective actions, and communicate risks effectively.
  • BSc or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience with analytical laboratory techniques (sample preparation, data analysis, method execution.
  • Ability to work under direct supervision while progressively gaining autonomy.

IT Skills Basic

  • MacOS & Windows proficiency.
  • MS Office package
  • Use of analytical software
